This service provides talking therapies to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of British ex-service personnel and their families across the North West.
Some people who have served in the armed forces say that they can experience emotional difficulties and find it hard to ask for help. This may be because of difficult experiences or simply adjusting to civilian life. The video below illustrates how the service helps veterans.
Following successful completion of an 18 month pilot the service has been jointly commissioned by all 33 Clinical Commissioning Groups across the North West until 31st March 2014.

I am tutor at HMP Northumberland and we have ex veterans from the north west and run a mentoring programme and I am seeking to have resources to support ex veterans whilst in prison and require as much information through handouts, contacts for additional resources such as housing, debt issues and mentoring support.
